MongoDB Authentication in the Ubuntu Bitnami MEAN Stack (on AWS)

imagesWasted some time on this again, so here are some notes.

Bitnami delivers the stack with auth on (although off is supposed to be the default).

From ‘mongodb.conf’:

Just to get the database connection verified, you can turn it off with the following edit:

And then restart mongodb with the following commands:

You’ll have to create a user for yourself to handle the admin.   The following link shows the way.

And your password for MongoDB can be found in the AWS log:

The log will pop up.  Look for something like the following:
